Mouse and Rat Blood Pressure Systems - Single Animal

The IITC Life Science amplifier with built-in automatic inflation is the ideal system when measuring blood pressure on rats or mice. With automatic inflation the researcher has the ability to adjust the cuff pressure limits with automatic cut-off, remote trigger capability, adjustable deflation rate, a manual air release for an immediate pressure drop and a test termination pressure control which allows for quick 10 to 15 second cycles.

Precise reproducible data is sent to either data collection software or any chart recorder on today's market.

    Our chambers offers the perfect uniform test environment for rats and mice. Chamber temperature is adjustable and stays at a constant temperature within 1 deg. C. via digital thermometer between 25-34 deg. C.


The output on the 229 unit is analog. The instrument has separate outputs for single channel and dual channel (superimposed and split) recording. The typical pulse amplitude is 100 mV to 1 V. The pressure amplitude is adjustable from one to five volts at 300 mmHg. If Systolic and heart rate are desired, a single channel chart recorder is sufficient; if the Mean and Diastolic are the desired reading then a dual channel chart recorder is recommended or the IITC blood pressure software package.

Our sensors are superior in design; they are highly sensitive which eliminiates the need for high heat temperatures. We are the only manufacturer's on the market that has an all in one tail cuff design, no need to tape the tail down in order to obtain accurate BP readings.

The 229 amplifier with built in cuff pump consists of: An amplifier, sensor and restrainer (weight range specified by user), single animal warming chamber, cables, sphygmomanometer and SP-1 accessory package.
