Xperiment Girl’s past was shrouded in mystery until now. Xperiment Girl was originally the international respected Dr. Gene Knockout researcher extraordinaire, a living legend working out of her hidden Nerve Center at IITC.

Hello fellow researcher! Welcome to Dr. Gene Knockout’s headquarters here at IITC, a world leader in the study of animal behavior, pain, and rat/mouse tail cuff blood pressure. We’re sure that you’re full of questions. How do we properly measure pain tolerance? Will our new compound treat this chronic condition? What is the true, accurate blood pressure of my animals? And finally, who in the world is Dr. Gene Knockout? Perhaps you know her better by her name Xperiment girl? No? What about her side kick, Minerva? Still nothing?

In short, Dr. Gene Knockout and her hyper-intelligent rat Minerva are living legends in animal research. I’m surprised you haven’t heard of them yet!

A truly gifted team of researchers, they had studied pain for years and made many astounding breakthroughs through their research. Dr. Knockout handled her animals with the utmost care and only wanted the best equipment to conduct her experiments while Minerva performed the data analysis.

Unfortunately, Dr. Knockout felt she was held back by the equipment she had. On the verge of great discoveries, she noticed that her equipment had failed her when she needed it most. It was almost as if the tools she had couldn’t support her brilliant mind and ideas.

Dr. Knockout was distraught at her inability to finish her studies.

“Minerva, how could this happen? We are so close to success and our equipment breaks yet again!” she exclaimed.

Minerva sat deep in thought for a few moments and said, “Let me consider our options tonight. We’ll start in the morning again.” Still upset at her equipment, she decided to go to sleep.

The next morning, Dr. Knockout woke up to Minerva cleaning up the assembly line she had built overnight.

“What are you up to Minerva? What is all this?” she asked.

“If our equipment fails us, then we shall produce our own!” Minerva replied excitedly.

Dr. Knockout eagerly ran towards her friend but had failed to notice a spill of the mutagenic Roxarline Minerva had forgotten to clean up. She slipped and landed in a puddle of the compound and passed out. A month would pass before Dr. Knockout awoke again.

Dr. Knockout awoke suddenly and felt dramatically different. She yelled for Minerva but she was nowhere to be found. Dr. Knockout rose and hurried towards Minerva’s room and, along the way, saw herself in the window. She stopped, shocked at her form. She had transformed into a human-rat mutant herself! Minerva then jumped out of her room, saw her friend, and smiled.

“What happened to me Minerva?” Dr. Knockout asked nervously.

“You slipped in Roxarline that had my DNA in it and fell into a deep sleep. It has been one month since you fell ill and I have seen you take this form. I worked tirelessly for the month and discovered that you now have superpowers! They will certainly help us improve our field of research! I also came up with a name for your new identity” Minerva explained. “How does Xperiment girl sound?” she asked.

“Brilliant Minerva! Thank you for your work my friend. Where do we stand on our new equipment?” Xperiment girl asked as they walked back to their assembly line.

Eventually, the pair created a team at IITC capable of producing the highest quality research equipment for the world to use. With her newfound abilities, researchers around the world no longer have to be held back by their inferior equipment.

Teaching the fine art of mastering and measuring accurately tail cuff blood pressure on mice, rats and all other animals. Xperiment Girl in turn intrigued by pain and how she could assist in superior equipment in the field of pain tolerance. Fascination turned to obsession of solving poor test data from inferior equipment. Unknowns in tail cuff BP and pain research to find solutions subjected herself to experiments that turned her into a human/mouse hybrid.

Colleagues respect and admire her for her natural abilities to work with researchers globally in solving the mysteries of science.

With IITC’s support, you too could become the superhero of your lab.

What are you waiting for, there’s research to be done! Let’s go!
