Plantar
Test Glass Stands (Hargreaves
Test)
IITC's
complete Glass stand's are used for multiple animal testing
with the Model 390 and Model 336 Plantar Test and combination
Plantar test and Tail Flick Analgesia Meter systems (Hargreaves
Method) for thermal hyperalgesia testing. A black anodized
base is supplied with 5 black anodized legs. Tempered
glass is placed on top. The clear plexi-glas animal enclosure
is set on top of the glass and allows unobstructed views
of the animal subjects during testing. The controller
has a high/low and off setting to allow temperature adjustments
by user when the heated glass is ordered.
We designed a smaller version
due to numerous requests when bench space is limited.
Now space is not an issue and multiple animal testing
can be completed.

Both
sizes are supplied with the standard 8" leg.
The Model 400 and 402 can
also be ordered with the Heated Glass version (G) when
used in conjunction with either the Model 390 or Model
336 Plantar Test and Tail Flick Analgesia Meters.
*Due to a known fact that
glass acts as a heat sink*, IITC Life Science developed
the only commercially available heated glass. Warming
the glass eliminates the heat sink problem, thus the
animals are placed onto a slightly warmed glass base.
A small controller keeps the temperature constant between
34-50 deg. C.
IITC will customize
the animal enclosure to any specified dimensions for
a nominal additional charge. Please contact IITC with
your request and we will be happy to supply you pricing
on your custom enclosure needs.
